Great cash back and no charges when used abroad

App only credit card account. Instant notifications, good rate of cash back (on MasterCard) and no charges when used abroad. Great credit card. Reviewed on: 10th May 2019

Great app monthly cash back!

Cash back credit cards are getting exceedingly rare. The Tandem cards pays you cash back monthly, yes monthly not yearly and even better still there are no overseas transactions fees when you use your card abroad. Reviewed on: 10th May 2019

Nice cashback credit card

Mostly hassle free

Good credit card with a well thought out app. Transactions often require an authorisation code, which is sent only my SMS. This is no use when you work outside the UK and and are reliant on wifi, with no phone signal. Reviewed on: 10th May 2019

Overall a great credit card, but with a few teething troubles

The Tandem credit card has some excellent features, with an unbeatable combination of cashback and zero transaction fees on foreign spending. The app is pretty good too, with instant updating of spending so that you can keep track, and access to electronic versions of statements. There are some annoying issues though: 1. No mechanism for requesting a credit limit increase. I was given a limit about 1/4 the limit of my other two cards. I'd like to transition to using the Tandem card exclusively, but this makes it tricky. They also handled the situation quite badly, initially telling me I could request a limit increase after 6 months, then at 6 months telling me I actually had to wait 12 months, then at 12 months telling me, actually, it just isn't possible! 2. No paperless statement option. This seems particularly weird given the app and the electronic statements. They claim this is for "legal reasons" but I don't get it - my other cards have paperless options with similar means of delivering electronic statements, so I don't know what those "legal reasons" could be. 3. Poor support for multiple card holders. Online transactions often require a passcode to be sent to a mobile phone, but the same phone number has to be used for all cards on the same account - not helpful if you're at work and your partner is at home trying to use the second card! Great product

This is a great product with a decent app. Everything is there to run the credit card easily. The only reasonably big missing part is Apple/Google Pay. If Tandem could add this it would be a 5 star card and as near to perfect as you'd get. The zero fees and cashback abroad is always welcome. Reviewed on: 10th May 2019
