Great that they get their own space, with a debit card for withdrawing cash and making payments online, but all visible by me, and with good controls. They get their own app, so they can check the balance at any time. The only real drawback is the lack of functionally like direct debits, for example for paying a mobile phone bill. Starling made opening an account for kids much easie...

Starling made opening an account for kids much easier than the traditional banks. In addition the app provides excellent control and ability to monitor activity. When we had a minor issue (card fraud) Starling was fantastic. Thoroughly reccomend. Reviewed on: 13th March 2024

Your money is safe with Starling!

I have lost my card and had money spent fraudulently and Starling Bank acted fast to secure my account and issue me not only a refund for these illegal purchases but also a new bank card. We also travel a lot and use the card regularly abroad including cash withdrawals and do not get any charges this makes being away so much more enjoyable without the fear of being charged and not having money. It is also so much easier for my young teenage child to have a bank card so that he can have financial independence and also learn so much more about how to budget and be smart with his money at no extra charge. Kids you all need a kite!

This is actually amazing my kids actually love it! They have learnt about budgeting they finances at a young age already and it gives them confidence in controlling their finances.
