The bank of the times

I have had an account for a couple years and I have watched other banks fade away. When I joined Starling, I signed up through the application on my phone. It was very easy. I confirmed my identity online, with somethey help me via live chat. I can upload cheques to my account. When I am a little out of pocket, I find a few spare pennies that have been automatically saved for me with each purchase. Starling is progressive and targets the current age and that is wonderful. Older people seem to get left behind in the times. This encourages them to adapt and embrace them. It welcomes them into the new age. Reviewed on: 5th March 2021

Best bank transfer decision ever made

I love the app, the bank, customer services, and convenience of communicating with customer services in the app instantly. I used it when we were travelling from South Africa via Botswana. My husband was able to track where I was with purchases, which reflected instantly and gave him peace of mind of my safety. I love the spaces and how you can save for different goals. I also love how Starling let's you know the total of the direct debits coming out the day beforehand. i love that transactions are instantand can use the card abroad no charge. Cannot imagine ever changing bank again

I was stuck with the bank who provided my mortgage back in 2006 but had been gradually closing down services - their offset deal meant leaving would kill any chance of paying it off sooner. So there was no app, the website was pure early 2000s and they weren’t offering contactless. Paid off the mortgage early and quickly started looking for a new bank - Starling had great reviews so went with them. Haven’t looked back since…they are always improving the app (bill spaces for example) and it’s a proper one stop shop for all my requirements. Can’t see me ever leaving!
