The bank of the times

I have had an account for a couple years and I have watched other banks fade away. When I joined Starling, I signed up through the application on my phone. It was very easy. I confirmed my identity online, with somethey help me via live chat. I can upload cheques to my account. When I am a little out of pocket, I find a few spare pennies that have been automatically saved for me with each purchase. Starling is progressive and targets the current age and that is wonderful. Older people seem to get left behind in the times. This encourages them to adapt and embrace them. It welcomes them into the new age. Reviewed on: 5th March 2021

Starling helped me take control

The spaces that you can set up have been a game changer for me. Sinking funds, emergency funds, whatever the reason for a space, I can set up as many as I need and has seen me with my money/savings than I ever have. Makes everything easy

So easy to bank with Startling, everything I want to do, savings etc are all accessible from the app on my phone. Even a Euro account connected to my current account. No problems paying with my phone unlike the last bank I used. Reviewed on: 18th April 2021

Simplicity, speed efficency

Account opened & card received in record time, 3 days. The app (on Android) works extremely well: it's sleek, streamlined and most importantly, fast, unlike my old bank app (HSBC one). Payments appear thr instance they are made - be it transfers or purchases. Same goes for incoming transfers. This makes managing daily spending a breeze. Would highly recommend. Saving spaces are great too, akin to the Monzo pots - it's a great feature I like to see adopted like this. My only gripe is relatively low interest rates current (norm currently though) and no credit card yet. Reviewed on: 18th April 2021

Trustworthy and easy to use

Starling bank offers a service which covers all my needs. EUR and GBP accounts, debit card which operates with both, available 24/7, affordable to use, covered by Deposit guarantee scheme (DGS) for up to €100,000/£85,000 and more. Reviewed on: 18th April 2021

Best British bank

Ok, while I admit I haven’t tried every option available in my 40 years of running current accounts I have tried quite a few. First Direct have been brilliant but I think Starling has the edge. The app is great, it works with Fitbit Pay and Samsung Pay and the ability to draw out cash abroad with no fees is (or soon will be) a real winner. Reviewed on: 18th April 2021
