Easy, seamless, real time - how banking in 2021 should be

I got a current account - originally with the aim to make money matters easier and cheaper while travelling. Then I started using it more and more - the app is amazing, customer service is seamless, solutions delivered almost in real time. The travel money aspect of Starling is still very important - it beats local bank exchange rates ALL THE TIME. I've saved so much money and time thanks to my Starling account. Excellent bank

I've previously banked with First Direct, Lloyds, Santander, Nationwide, Cahoot. I now bank with Starling and it is really excellent, everything works very well. Just a couple of things could be improved: I can't download my banking entries as .ofx files (like Nationwide), only .csv files which aren't sufficiently structured to work with my financial programme. Also I couldn't sent a relative in Australia her £50k inheritance. But for most stuff, Starling is excellent. Reviewed on: 30th March 2021
