Been with Monzo and Starling banks Starling stands out with fee free atm abroad , free cash deposit at post office, low overdraft fees and just feel better. Reviewed on: 7th February 2020

Simple and effective

More than a bank, it is a brand you can get obsessed with

Banking is SO boring - but not with Starling. I switched a year ago and won’t go back to brick-and-mortar. I love how analytical I can get about my spending, love how cool the card looks and love the design in the app! Starling seems like an approachable brand that speaks my language. Ok app but difficult to use

Starling provide a current account which I have but I've struggled with a couple of things which take the shine of what otherwise is a good challenger to the high street banks. Verification when opening my account wasn't instant, Google pay setup on a wear os watch requires contacting customer services which was painful (all my other cards were set up automatically using their standard app). I find the layout and surfacing of my financial data difficult to understand using the starling app interface, in particular the wheel when you first open the app. Reviewed on: 1st March 2021
