Avoid Starling Bank they don't let you use your own... Avoid Starling Bank they don't let you use your own money by stopping you transferring it between your own accounts and also returned a £20 direct deb... Read more Reviewed on: 21st August 2026

Been with Monzo and Starling banks Starling stands out with fee free atm abroad , free cash deposit at post office, low overdraft fees and just feel better. Reviewed on: 7th February 2020

Clean, simple, fresh

I opened a new account with Starling Bank in 2020. The application process was simple and straight forward. The phone apphas a clean, clear interface and the information the publish is always interesting. I also support their ethical policy statement. Reviewed on: 22nd January 2021

Great bank

Easy to use app from Starling. Utilising the "spaces" to save for individual goals has been so helpful. The safety net of not being able to spend directly from the "spaces" helps to keep money more secure from potential fraudsters. Easy to use and good customer service received when I have required support. Reviewed on: 22nd January 2021

Reliable, easy to navigate

Was recommended by a friend! She will be a friend for life! This is fantastic and so easy to navigate. The prompts are amazing re upcoming payments/direct debits and generally TOP CLASS! Would highly recommend. To date have not had any ads or unwanted messages. Sure there is lots more to discover that will make my banking life easier. Excellent for the current times as bank branches close or have reduced hours. If you need an easy to manage and excellent bank - a definite option. Even for those (like me) reluctant to use online banking initially. You are safe with Starling. Reviewed on: 22nd January 2021

Starling has been brilliant, the app works perfect. Funds appear in the account immediately after a transfer and some nice clever features available like splitting bills and putting money aside for savings. Best online bank

Starling bank app is very user friendly, with all features of mainstream banks. Instant notifications and brilliant card control features. I use it daily and also use the card overseas when going for holidays because of excellent exchange rates and no hefty fee. I have used most other app only and mainstream banks. Love Starling bank - I use it all the time for spending when I’m in Canada with my daughter and her family. Easy to use with great exchange rates. Use it every day at home in the uk as it helps me to budget and save so easily. Really like the spaces as it makes it easy to slip money away without missing it to save for important things. three of my children have starling so it’s very easy for us to transfer money to one another. The only reason my daughter doesn’t use it is because it’s not available in Canada .. yet Reviewed on: 22nd January 2021
