Starling leads & others try to catch up.

Both myself & my wife have been Starling customers since 2018, with both of us having individual & joint accounts, plus the Euro account extension. As we are both retired / over 65 we are in an age group that could be considered cautious of new technology, and no doubt constitutes a very small percentage of Starling customers, yet we have found the app comprehensive & easy to use both in the UK & abroad & in less common currencies. As neither of us have had any issues or concerns with any aspect of the Starling offering (which could not be said for our experiences with 'mainstream' institutions) it is only fair to give Starling full marks for what they do & the service they provide. I wish I'd changed sooner

Starling is fantastic, I simply can't give it enough credit. The service is extremely easy to use and provides constant updates and makes handling and keeping an eye on your money much easier. I used to be hit with multiple bank charges every time I bought items abroad or ordered internationally, these are now all gone and the rate I get is even better than those offered by the money exchangers locally, only 5 years ago this would have been a pipe dream. I live the fact that you are able to freeze or unfreeze a card with a click of the button, which works really well if you're in an area where pickpocket crime is high, even if the wallet is stolen it's limited to the cash I'm carrying at the time. Outstanding service and so easy to use

Starling Bank's offer of free ATM withdrawals and purchases overseas, interest on current account deposits plus the ability to switch your debit card instantly between £ & € is unique and outstanding. Reviewed on: 19th January 2020
