Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

They have really turned my life around and absolutely everyone you speak with treats you with dignity and no judgement- they always reduce me to tears because they are so completely caring and helpful. Free impartial support

Great to have debts managed without stress or pressure. StepChange look at my incomings and outgoings to make realistic payments to my debtors via my monthly direct debit to StepChange. This is reviewed annually and you can see your debts reduce. I’m relieved they’ve worked with me for the past few years. Reviewed on: 4th September 2021
