Weight off my shoulders

I had been juggling debt for years was putting a strain on my family, when I finally got up the nerve to call step change they helped put all my affairs in order and put my mind at rest, in another year or so I'll be totally debt free and I couldn't be happier. Reviewed on: 17th June 2021

If only I knew about them sooner

Huge support!

StepChange take all the stress out of debt management, and quite literally help you manage. After years of avoiding debt and dreading the phone ringing I finally got the support I needed and after just two years am almost debt free. Brilliant Service

I was in the depths of despair, felt like I was drowning with the weight of the world on my shoulders. I was scared as I felt full of shame, like I was a failure but I finally plucked up the courage to make contact. I thought I would be greeted with judgement but far from it. The staff were so lovely, kind & understanding. When I eventually came of the phone, I felt so light, I was daring to feel happy again, so relieved. It makes such an amazing difference that these lovely people did all the contact with the companies we owed money to, I couldn’t bear the thought of having to do that myself! Simple, straightforward & friendly

From the moment I first contact StepChange, they put me at ease, helped me get myself organised, review my budget and talked through the pros and cons of each of my suggested options. A weight of my shoulders

I was in a terrible state, worrying, unable to sleep, with two young children, a mortgage, and the final nail, was losing my job, once I found a new lower paid job, I came across step change, they help and supported me, never did they judge me, the person, I spoke to, was very understanding, gave me the reassures I needed, they went through the many options and a budget plan.
