Having been left with a lot of debt from a previous relationship, I was scared that I would drown in it and not be able to support my young family. Step Change were so supportive and they have always reassured me whenever I’ve needed to check on something that I’ve received from my creditors or adjust my plan. I was left with thousands of pounds of debt when I split from my ex wife and was on the verge of giving up until a friend mentioned step change so as a last resort I made that call and I’m glad I did because now I’m making regular affordable payments to my creditors and now slowly building my life back thanks to step change Reviewed on: 8th July 2020

Both myself and my wife could not have survived the past three years without the help of StepChange.

I became mentally unwell and was unable to work as a teacher. Also my wife became critically ill and financially we could not cope with bills. StepChange helped us both to manage our outgoings into one monthly bill which would be affordable.
