Really helpful service

And....breathe!

I really felt like I was drowning in debt and no matter how much I paid off each month, the total never seemed to get smaller. I’d started to ignore phone calls and leave post unopened in case it was from one of my debtors. I just couldn’t cope with it and was starting to become really down and totally unlike myself. Having Stepchange take over correspondence with my debtors and talk me through a manageable budget lifted a huge weight from my shoulders and knowing when I would be debt free enabled me to look to the future again which I hadn’t dared for quite some time. I’m now less than a year away from being debt free and it’s an incredible feeling. I have recommended Stepchange to a lot of people who, through my job, I know are struggling with debt. I’d even go so far as to say that I am better at my job because of Stepchange. Having had the experience with them, I can wholly empathise with others in the same position that I found myself in. Helped when I was helpless.

To have knowledgeable and empathetic people to speak to when you’re in a deep hole with no way out is wonderful. Then those people help you realise you’re not alone with this problem, and throw down a rope to help you begin to climb out. My sanity and health was saved by STEPCHANGE and I’ll always be grateful. When I have my annual review, I’m stunned that for another year they’re prepared to help me. Absolutely brilliant service

Contacted stepchange when we were struggling with our finance due to being let down by our then financial advisor. They were absolutely amazing really helpful no judgment just professional and friendly nothing was too much trouble. helped us through everything and took the pressure off us by contacting our creditors for us and told us to tell our creditors to talk and deal with stepchange. When I seen the advert on tv I felt like that advert a weight was lifted off my shoulders that night and it’s all thanks to step change I owe them a lot. Indeed changed my life

I was six months pregnant and expecting my first child. I was so much in debt I didn’t know how I was going to pay for my credit card, loans and over draft on SMP. A friend recommended StepChange, which called spoke to a lovely lady bless her, she took her time to advise me on the options were available me, with both advantages and disadvantages! I finally settled for a Dmp which they negotiated with my creditors on my behalf. I honestly, I can now sleep peacefully as StepChange has taken a burden off me.
