Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Saved my life

When I split up with my ex I was left in huge amount of unmanageable financial difficulty. If it was not for step change support I seriously do not think I would be here today... I was extremely low and saw no way out of my the debt but after getting touch with these they made me realise there were things we could do to make things more manageable. The amount of tears and worry I have spent on the phone to these people was always put at ease. I’m now on my way to being debt free in a manageable and positive way...but I can never repay this company for the help they have given me and they brought me back from a very dark place and I couldn’t of done it without them.
