Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Lifeline

It’s over 10 years since Step Change (former CCCS) has been a part of my life and it has helped me enormously to cope with the heavy debts I owed towards my creditors. The team have been very supportive and understanding of my financial commitments towards the needs of my family and the need to pay off my debts in a safe and responsible way. Life Changing!

Working with StepChange has been life changing for me! Non judgemental help was a huge relief

Step change helped us to take control of our spiralling debt at a time when it felt hopless and overwhelming. It is not a quck fix, but debt control is now proactive instead of reactive.
