I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

with Step change debt charity they are always there to help people with debt, You feel very secure even you are trouble with debt ! Life changing

After a messy heartbreaking divorce left with unimaginable debts , stepchange allowed me to breath again! I never thought to use step change, I had buried my head in the sand and didn’t know what to do. It wasn’t until I plucked up the courage to speak to them. I finally felt less stressed and supported. I’m just 5 months away from clearing my debt and it’s the best thing I’m looking forward to this year. Well done guys for the help and guidance over the last couple of years!
