Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

I got myself in to debt that I couldn’t manage, and didn’t think there was a way out. A colleague at work told me about Step Change and from the 1st moment I spoke to them, that feeling of helplessness began to fade. Life savers

Struggling with debt and no where to turn i was given Step Change details.. Im a proud man and really had to dig deep and find the courage to ring. Best decision I've ever made. So helpful and non judgemental. Just gave account of all my debts and they did the rest, didnt even have to contact my debtors. No more sleepless nights.

No where to go!

My financial situation was causing me so much anxiety and sleepless nights. I eventually spoke to step change and they literally changed my life. They helped me in every way possible. They talked me through a realistic repayment programme and prepped me what to expect if one of my debtors contacted me. Even when I had a few bumps down the road they were so supportive.
