I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Stepchange are a fantastic company, they helped me enormously after my husband passed away and things got on top of me, so understanding, never judge you on why you are in debt, support you every step and always at the end of a phone to talk.. would recommend to anyone struggling with Debt, I cannot praise and thank them enough, I feel I'm halfway there and will be debtfree in 12 months thanks to them. !! Non judgemental help

These people help you when you can be desperate as debt is scary. They don't judge why your in this position and advise you what to do i no longer have sleepless nights worrying and am well on my way to clearing my debts Reviewed on: 22nd July 2021
