It was absolutely fantastic help from start to finish.

It was absolutely fantastic help from start to finish. It took 8 days in total. I'm sitting here now a lot happier than I was 3 weeks ago. They put me forward (against their recommendation) for a DRO, which was passed 2 weeks ago, and because I have their backing, I have been able to liaise with my creditors a lot easier, and they have actually helped me due to my underlying health issues. Thank you to them all from Stepchange and also Money Wellness (the people who organised my finances and submitted my DRO application) From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU. Best people to help if you have a debt problem

Having encountered financial difficulties in my early sixties I made the classic mistake of 'burying my head in the sand' otherwise known as adopting an 'ignore it and it will go away' mode. Unsurprisingly it did not but when I bit the bullet and contacted StepChange, just been able to have a conversation was a huge relief and with their excellent guidance and advice the situation was brought under control and I am now a couple of months short of being debt free. We spent several years paying high interest rates in an attempt to pay off our debts, but the debts remained the same after 5 years. We pleaded with our debtors to lower their rates but by then they were well over 20%. By chance we approached Step Change who enabled us to start paying off our debts which has reduced our debts.
