Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Best decision ever!

Can't put into words how Stephange changed our life. After years of struggling with debt an barely bring able to meet the minimum payments, loosing my job I could see no way out. One phone call to Stepchange and the stress, tears & sleepless nights had gone, amazing support and light at the end of tunnel to eventually become debt free. 10 years on we have one payment left til we have paid all our debts off and a repaired credit score. I was nervous about talking to someone about my debts and to ask for help. I needn't have worried, the people at Step Change are amazing, they don't judge you, they help you.
