Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Debt free again :)

These guys are amazing and worth there weight in gold. After 2 years of burying my head and feeling ashamed of the debt I had, I finally contacted these guys and now 3 & 1/2 years later I am now debt free and no longer looking over my shoulder. I can never repay these guys & girls for the help and advice they gave me when I was at rock bottom and I now have a rosey future ahead of me. Thank you for all your hard work and the fact they do it for free is invaluable. They really were a life saver

Peace of mind

I was in a situation where I could not see it getting better, in fact it only seemed to get worse. I contacted step change who led me through all my options in a friendly and very helpful way, they assisted me in setting up a debt management programme which has given me my life back. Excellent support and encouragement to be come financially independent again. Great advice & learning for overcoming your financial worries. Helped me to take the control back and gave me confidence to own my financial situation.
