Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Incredible Charity

I first contacted Stepchange in August 2019 when my debt had spiralled out of all control and I was on the brink of absolute ruin, financial and emotional. The people at Stepchange are amazing; kind, professional, knowledgeable, friendly. They set up a DMP for me and I've never looked back. I can hand on heart say that they changed my life. Life saving

We gathered up debt due to ill health and unemployment. We then were stuck wanting to pay back but needed help. We were with another debt management company who basically took more money off us and put us in a worse state. I then found Step Change on Martin Lewis website and contacted them.
