The only issue I had was the wait to get through to someone. But as soon as I did, the advisor was so helpful, non-judgemental and really out me at ease. He also helped me so much with my query - with a better result than I had hoped for. Debt is such a stressful situation to be in, and I can't tell you how grateful I am that they have eased that a little for me. Reviewed on: 6th May 2026

A massive weight lifted off my shoulders

I don’t know what I would have done without the help of StepChange. I feel like a massive weight has been lifted and I can start living again. Although there was an initial glitch where my application slipped through the net, it was very quickly rectified. Staff are helpful and non judgemental. Reviewed on: 6th May 2026

Light in the tunnel

At the time of contacting StepChange I was very distraught but also the questionnaire was quite challenging to fill in. However once I got in contact with the advisor who was very patience and understanding everything start falling into place. Before I knew it I had an affordable plan in place to pay my debtors and less of sleepless nights. My advice to others are there is light in the tunnel with Stepchange Reviewed on: 6th May 2026
