Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

Simply The Best

I've been with Stepchange for 3 years. They have helped me when I most needed it I was at my lowest with £27k debt I now owe £14k. Stepchange are understanding, never Judgemental. There to guide support and an anchor when you need a way forward. They are a best friend to me without them i don't think I could of carried on with life. A big help when needed

Was at a low point in life with debts and creditors chasing me.... didn't know where to turn. A quick search, a short form to fill and a quick call and everything changed. Step Change were a great help and my dreaded debts that were bringing me down are slowly disappearing... no more calls or letters demanding money. Absolutely terrific service. Simply Amazing

Im a grown man who has worked in fast paced tough environments but I burst into tears after speaking to one of the agents from step change. I had got to the point when I no longer thought I deserved help or for someone to speak to me like a human. They were kind, supportive and explained everything so well.
