It was absolutely fantastic help from start to finish.

It was absolutely fantastic help from start to finish. It took 8 days in total. I'm sitting here now a lot happier than I was 3 weeks ago. They put me forward (against their recommendation) for a DRO, which was passed 2 weeks ago, and because I have their backing, I have been able to liaise with my creditors a lot easier, and they have actually helped me due to my underlying health issues. Thank you to them all from Stepchange and also Money Wellness (the people who organised my finances and submitted my DRO application) From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU. Forced by changing circumstances to grapple with a seemingly impossible debt problem, StepChange advisors gave me renewed faith in the future, self-confidence through their excellent advice and support, pointing out my options and consequences of alternatives, and helped me construct a viable plan to honestly and openly deal with my creditors. They helped me devise a realistic budget I can stick too, support me with unexpected blips on the road, and deal with creditors on my behalf. Most importantly, they treat me with respect and understanding, are entirely non-judgemental, and always there for advice and support. I now sleep at night, have a working plan to get my life back on track, and I can’t recommend their free, unbiased and valuable advice and support highly enough. A caring team.

It still amazes me how much StepChange took over my situation and advocated on my behalf. After my initial phonecall consultation, I didn’t really have to do much at all. Not to say it’s easy as this is not an easy situation to be in but it was easy in the sense I felt looked after. The only negative I have is that emails often don’t get responded to, days can go by and you have to chase. It’s not always possible for people to call directly. Reviewed on: 7th May 2026

No Fuss to help you get out of debt.

I have dealt with StepChange on numerous occasions and I have not had any complaints. They spend time with going through your situation and help you with making sure you can pay the debt before allowing you to choose which way you wish to pay your debts off. From my first anxious days of finding myself in dept, Stepchange gave me the hope and confidence that i could survie and pyback my debt. After almost 2 years i have made steady progress, without any hitches at all, to maintain affordable payments. i now plan my monthly spending very carefully, a habit well worth developing for all of us Be brave and honest, help is there.. Just the help I need

I am now near debt free, working with Stepchange entirely throughout.Their prompts to review my Plan were Friendly & informative, allowing me to adjust my payments with affordability! Debts don't have to be a Burden with Stepchsnges Help

Since I got in touch with Stepchange over my debts. I got to a stage i would berry my head in the sand hoping for it to go away. But it doesn't, then someone told me about Stepchange. They went through sll my debts and we set up a standing order with them and they do all the sorting out for me.
