After losing my job through the pandemic I felt I was the only one who was in deep financial trouble. Speaking to step change and just listening to my problems and I must say my god they were very understanding and made me realise I’m not the only one out there. Came up with a plan which I could afford and they would deal with the creditors which took a huge pressure from myself. Step change were and are a saviour and thank their kindness and support given through a situation I thought I’d ever have to go through at my age. Reviewed on: 29th May 2026

Took the stress out of handling my debt

Took the stress out of handling my debt into one simple payment, they took care of everything else, and the monthly statements online are great to see the debt gradually decreasing - such an easy thing to do should have done it ages ago. No more threatening letters or emails - really takes the pressure off. They take all incoming/outgoing expenditure into account and leave you with a easily met monthly direct debit but still leaves you enough to live on Reviewed on: 29th May 2026

A clear path to a debt-free future

A huge thank you to StepChange for their outstanding support. Dealing with debt can feel completely overwhelming, but their team stepped in and immediately liaised with all my creditors promptly and efficiently. They have helped me significantly reduce what I owe and have put me on a clear, manageable path to being completely debt-free in the near future.
