Retaking control

You've come to the end of your tether, swamped by red letters and final notices. So phone StepChange - one of the best half hours of your life. They sort out what you spend on what, what you owe, what you can afford to pay back after allowances are made for the amount you need to live on. Then they sort out the repayments (through them) and companies listen to them whereas they wouldn't listen to you, because they have standing. And the best bit (apart from the relief of finally doing something positive about things) is that they're a charity and won't charge you a penny. Reviewed on: 23rd April 2017

Debt without Stress

I was very stressed about my financial commitments and the Step Change counsellor talked me through all aspects and gave me good solid advice which had made me a lot less stressed. I am kept up to date with regular statements and if I have any questions there is always someone at the end of the phone for me to talk to. Reviewed on: 6th May 2026

I turned to Stepchange as I waa with another Debt Management company who were charging me £50 pr month for their administration cost.. Since being with Stepchange since 2009, they have helped me tremendously guiding me and helped me in facing my debt in a honest way..
