Retaking control

You've come to the end of your tether, swamped by red letters and final notices. So phone StepChange - one of the best half hours of your life. They sort out what you spend on what, what you owe, what you can afford to pay back after allowances are made for the amount you need to live on. Then they sort out the repayments (through them) and companies listen to them whereas they wouldn't listen to you, because they have standing. And the best bit (apart from the relief of finally doing something positive about things) is that they're a charity and won't charge you a penny. Reviewed on: 23rd April 2017

Lifesavers

Since first reaching out to stepchange, they have been AMAZING. Really supported me and taken so much pressure off me. I felt like I was drowning with my debt but through their support they have relieved this and I can finally see the light and a day in the not to distance future I will be debt free. Excellent StepChange went through everything with me and put my mind at rest Once I had told them how much and who I owed it to they worked out how much I should pay each one they then contact the different companies who accepted the payments. Cannot recommend them enough

I contacted Stepchange due to debt issues, compounded by Covid. I honestly wish I'd got in touch with them two years earlier. What looked like a daunting process was made simple, manageable and the advice is clear, straightforward and honest.
