Wish I had known about StepChange several years ago before paying a private company. Always courteous and helpful, and always negotiating regularly with my creditors so making the whole process painless. Life savers

I was always spoken to like a human, I was always considered my feelings and how it would affect me after the call. The debt was never gone but the stress was after speaking to step change. My mental health makes me a very difficult person to contact and discuss my debts too. However step change not once but twice helped me at a slow steady pace. I was guided and offered additional support. Knowing all my debts are being paid off by step change with a manageable payment plan it’s honestly let me focus on my work, my children and myself. Thank you for your help and the training given is outstanding. A lot off company's could learn from step change, maybe then so many people wouldn’t be as intimidated when speaking about financial difficulties and ending up In Further debt which then can lead too some sad circumstances for people. They were very knowledgeable and they helped me and are still helping me, giving plenty of advice when I have contacted them to find the best solutions to my queries. Impartial and Unjudgmental

I was at my wits end, didn't know what to do. I was under so much pressure it made me ill. I contacted Stepchange who were so helpful and listed my options, one of which I took and since then life has been a bit easier. Reviewed on: 1st May 2024

Debt free after 10 years !!

From the beginning to now only two payments from being debt free we cannot thank StepChange enough for all the help over the years especially during a period of very bad health of my husband and being unable to work. They contacted our creditors to reduce our payments until he was fit to work again. Anyone who thinks they can’t see a way out of debt do not go to debt management company as they will take more money off you. StepChange will help you get debt free even if you owe a lot like we did.
