When I found myself in what seemed like an impossible situation regarding my debt I spoke with the people at Stepchange : Debt Management and they showed me in straight forward honest discussions that there was a solution to my debt predicament . I joined Stepchange and have been making payments that I can afford and I have found the team at Stepchange are always there to advise and help me make correct decisions as to best way forward. Brilliant Service

After falling into arrears due to losing my job in covid, Step Change helped me arrange an affordable plan to repay my creditors. They dealt with all my creditors and set up payment arrangement on my behalf, which took a massive amount of stress off off me. I've been on my debt management plan 2 years now and they still make all my payments on my behalf as well as sending me regular statements and review my financial situation annually. Fantastic company, thank god they exist, after a heart attack and having heart failure twice plus suffering from chronic pain, I would have been dead without their help, I was so far down I stopped taking my medication, I couldn’t see a way out of my problems, I used to be a sub postmaster along with my wife, when I was struck down with chronic pain we sold the Post Office luckily at the time when the new computer system was installed, when we left the audit team came and did a full inspection and audit of our office, we were one of the lucky ones we were NINE PENCE over ,which for a town office turning over 2 Million a week was pretty damm good, I then worked for an agency for two weeks to pay our mortgage (our lovely home that we had to sell) then the system was updated I was£1000 short I had to pay this to the agency, since then the Post office will not help me because I was working for an agency, the so-called post office specialist agency refused to pay me back, the PO won’t pay the agency won’t pay , so what do I do sell my home buy a wheelchair when the pain got too much , so now I sit here struggling to pay my bills begging for benefits thing of taking the cowards way out, ….."……… Reviewed on: 1st May 2024

Unfortunately got into financial difficulties, spoke to stepchange who worked out my priority debts and dealt with my creditors on my behalf.my total debts where just over £35000, over the years my monthly repayments have changed due to my daily / monthly expenses going up, again stepchanged dealt with this with my creditors and had no problems, l have about 13 months left to pay Reviewed on: 1st May 2024
