Wonderful support.

My husband and I are at retirement age and prior to this, serious illness meant that our debts got out of control. Through Citizens Advice we made contact with Stepchange and they helped us put a debt management plan together. That was a few years ago and although we still have issues to deal with moving forward, our creditors now leave us alone and Stepchange manage our DMP and deal with any issues. They are a godsend and without them I don’t think I could have carried on. I can now sleep at night and I know that they will help us deal with things in the future and be at our side. As a charity they do not charge any fees like some other companies that hard sell. All they need is honesty from you nothing else. All of our monthly payments go to the creditors. Struggling to survive after leaving husband

After leaving my husband and having to start again from nothing with 2 children Step Change was a big help. Private rent was 5 times more than my mortgage was. I only had my wage to live on to support 2 children, and I didn't have enough to pay my loans, catalogue and credit cards that's I'd got to refurbish and convert the mortgaged house id left behind. Step Change changed my life

I was at crisis point facing a very dark tunnel, not knowing what to do, who to turn to or where to go. I was recommended to seek financial help but was only faced with options I felt would worsen my situation...until I found Step Change. They not only helped me work through my budget, they offered advise on how I was to deal with the debt collectors and took the burden away which a huge help as I was not in a position to do it myself. Throughout my plan Step Change have helped me with every step, all the price increases and difficulties with managing my finances. I can see the light at the end of the tunnel now and feel able to manage my finances for when my plan comes to an end. Please, if you're struggling reach out, they will change your life!
