Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

You'll be glad you had the courage to callthem

Didn't know what to do,was told about debt charities and how they would give advice and not judge, I was glad a plucked up the courage to ring ,no snarky comments ,just an understanding and helpful person on the other end of phone . Reviewed on: 27th May 2026

Stepchange has genuinely changed our lives.

Stepchange has genuinely changed our lives. There help and support is amazing. We were lost financially and did not know which way to turn. We had no support from the job centre and no real guidance on how to gain a bit of control. The great people at Stepchange have helped to lift a heavy load from our shoulders and i cannot thank and reccommend enough. Less stress over debts
