Dare to hope,!

I have been very ill with cancer. During my treatments I took my eye off the ball as the saying goes. Was too ill to deal with post and many many calls from people demanding money. I was becoming paranoid about the phone,the postman. Well debts don’t go away I didn’t know where or who to turn to, my life was such a mess, I was even contemplating ending it all. A friend came here and said why don’t we ring Stepchange the debt charity. I had nothing to lose but from that very first call, they made me feel like we can sort this out together and took me through every single step. Every person I spoke with was efficient,nothing was too much trouble, kind and compassionate. Made me feel like perhaps I could live a life. Am not the only person this happens to. Quite a bit of paperwork which I found daunting but even if I was stuck on silly questions I always got a real person to speak with. I can’t praise them high enough Reviewed on: 27th August 2024

StepChange 5 star

StepChange Debt Charity is an excellent service to use if you know your debts are spiralling out of control, and the threatening letters and phone calls are starting to come thick and fast. Make that step and contact these people by phone or online and they will help you manage things. I mostly did things online but also spoke to advisors twice and they were spot on. No judging, just advice and help to get you out of that dark place you've found yourself in. I now have a Debt Management Plan in place (DMP) and am able to make payments to all my creditors that I can afford to. There is light at the end of the tunnel and the people at this debt charity will help you there.. Reviewed on: 27th May 2025

Life Changing.

Stepchange help me to make DMP and contact the creditors. Without Stepchange I probably cannot pay on time high rates loans. DMP was better choice, thank you for your support! Reviewed on: 27th May 2025

A great relief

Partly through debtors not paying their debts and partly through not being able to sell the business, we found ourselves in debt.
