A Step-Change back to a normal life

My wife became seriously ill and had to have Open Heart Surgery. We still had two children at school and my wife was unable to work for about three and a half years. With a mortgage, a loan and four mouths to feed plus all of the other usual bills on one wage, the credits cards eventually maxed out. We'd painted ourselves into a corner financially and needed a way out of this somehow - the bank actually suggested Step-Change to us. So I contacted them and found the whole process very easy and helpful. They managed to put my mind at ease, by putting a Debt Management Plan in place that took a single monthly payment to pay our creditors. Light at the end of the tunnel

Takes the pressure off you and you can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Sleep becomes good, phone calls and the postman do not scare you. The people who work for Step Change are so kind and understanding. I have never looked back. Reviewed on: 23rd July 2021

Life changers

Stepchange helped me in my path to a stress free life. Having racked up many gambling debts, it is fair to say that I was in a bit of a mess with very little hope for my future. The team at Stepchange were so helpful with assessing my situation and discussing my best options. Having been dealing with Debtors, it is so refreshing to speak to friendly and helpful people who don't make you feel useless. I can honestly say that every person I have spoken to at Stepchange has had the same positive and helpful attitude. Brilliant service
