We got this car insurance when we bought our new car, after shopping around for a good deal that covered pretty much all the basics and ticked a few boxes, we decided to take this one out thanks to the competitive price legal cover etc etc, unfortunately after only having our new car for 3 months some nasty people decided that they wanted to try and steal it, but while doing that the car knew they didnt have a key and the immobilizer etc all kicked in so they decided to cover tracks lets set it on fire how nice of them, anyways car gets put out police come all the usual things, rang the insurance and from start to finish I can honestly say they did all they could car was lifted courtesy car was delivered my only problem was with having two small children and car seats totally destroyed in the fire, it took them 5 weeks to pay out the insurance and we were told only £100 for car seats cd's stereo buggy etc etc, when in actual fact it was £300 which is what we changed it to when we took out the policy, over all they done all they could. Policy renewal price

It is the first time in my life when I'm staying with the same insurance company and I'm getting charged even more for no extra benefit. Tried to contact customer service for this matter, long waiting time for nothing, just to be told that there is nothing they can do anymore once they get your money. My no claims discount bonus went up however the insurance price went up as well. They didn't even try to get me the same price as the previous year, not to even mention a cheaper one. Again, first time ever when that happens and the only company that does it! Would not recommend! Reviewed on: 10th March 2023

Avoid at all costs

If i could leave 0 stars I would. My car was involved in a minor collision at the beginning of December 2022. Reported everything online as should have been. I was told that the garage Wedd and White were allocated to fix the car. Fast forward to end of December and I hadn't heard anything. I called swift numerous times who provided no help whatsoever, not to mention each time I was on hold for upwards of an hour sometimes 2. I eventually got somewhere when I put an official complaint in. My car was collected at the end of Feb 2023 for repairs and now I have heard nothing, it should have been 2 days its been 2 weeks. Clearly swift out source the repairs to shocking garages and leave their customers to do all the chasing. Avoid this company at all costs, they haven't even got back to me about my complaint, will be taking this up with the ombudsman. please don`t bother unless you want unbelievable stress and frustration costing you a lot more money than your cheap quote, in the event of a claim your adviser when telephoning will tell you one thing, and when the claim is settled your the one very much out of pocket, I would rather stab myself in the eye with a screwdriver than use this company again Reviewed on: 29th September 2017

The insurance company is a crap!!! Was hit while stationary in my car by other driver - and my premiums gone up £300!!! For not my fault accident!!! That's a joke! Been told that even if it's not my fault I am more likely to get in the accident in the future!!!! I WAS STATIONARY!!!! Have 10 years NCB... jokers. Moved to other insurer and paying much less... will cancel home insurance as well as it has gone up by £100 for no reason... Reviewed on: 20th September 2017

Yearly price hikes

Using this provider for a few years with automatic renewal I became aware that each year the premium rose considerably. I cancelled my renewal this September and changed insurers with a saving of over £90. I am an experienced driver with over 50 years of driving experience so there is no excuse for such discrepancy in various premiums. Reviewed on: 13th September 2017
