You can open a Tembo cash lifetime ISA or a stocks and shares lifetime ISA by downloading the app and depositing a minimum of £1.

Tembo doesn’t charge monthly subscription fees for the lifetime ISAs, but there is an annual platform fee for the stocks and shares lifetime ISA.

Their interest rate is very very good, and the app is well designed and simple to use. Also very easy to deposit money and to allow others to gift money into your account. The app is among the most user-friendly out there!

The app is insanely user-friendly. Information on interest payments, government bonus, and deposits are easy to find. The interest rate on the LISA is market-leading as far as I can tell, and I expect this will remain the case as they maintain it above the Bank of England's base rate. Reviewed on: 3rd February 2026

Great customer service - friendly and approachable

We started using Tembo for their LISA which had great interest rates and found the app had a really good and easy to use UX interface. When purchasing our first house the app was useful in tracking our finances and the stag at Tembo were very helpful, quick to respond and we booked calls with the team who had amazing availability and were really friendly and helpful at explaining different options and the process for FTBs.
