You can open a Tembo cash lifetime ISA or a stocks and shares lifetime ISA by downloading the app and depositing a minimum of £1.

Tembo doesn’t charge monthly subscription fees for the lifetime ISAs, but there is an annual platform fee for the stocks and shares lifetime ISA.

Lots of extra details

It’s annoying that you have to set up a direct debit to deposit money and that you have to put in future house buying plans but I’m sure some people find it helpful. Reviewed on: 18th March 2024

Monthly instalments

Only one issue, the app insisting to set up a monthly payment for the LISA. It's full with 4000 but still no option to cancel, only delay. Other than that its a lovely interface and everything explained very clearly Reviewed on: 18th March 2024

Tembo changed my perspective on buying a house

Tembo has helped me changed my whole perspective on how to save to buy a house. They not only support quickly with any questions you may have but also provide details and articles to support you with your saving. I’ve had nothing short of an incredible experience and it’s lovely to hear about how many people they are supporting to get their first home! I’m able to see exactly how much me and my partner have saved in our new LISA’s and how long it will take for us to reach our goal. Really great app!

Really great app, never had any problems with it! It allows you to pick the area you’d like to buy and what percent of a deposit you plan on putting towards a house. It then gives you a timeline as to when you’ll have saved that amount by, really great! Reviewed on: 4th March 2024
