You can open a Tembo cash lifetime ISA or a stocks and shares lifetime ISA by downloading the app and depositing a minimum of £1.

Tembo doesn’t charge monthly subscription fees for the lifetime ISAs, but there is an annual platform fee for the stocks and shares lifetime ISA.

The newbies account

I'm a relatively new user to Lifetime ISAs having only opened my account in January 2024. Prior to that I had done lots of research into the best ways of saving up for a first house deposit and everything came back to Nude/Tembo and so I took the plunge! And I'm so glad I did; I have complete control over when and how much money goes into my account via the app meaning I don't need to make phone calls or log on to a temperamental website - and I've also already had my first government bonus which I was not expecting, it's great seeing my saving visibly grown whilst my time to buy decreases . I'm also loving the abundance of information on how to save more efficiently with the aim of reaching that goal quicker! Reviewed on: 1st March 2024

Using Tembo has really helped me during my saving journey! It’s a breeze to use and it’s great to have it separate to my main banking as I don’t have the urge to take money out of my savings as this way I can’t see it. You can change how much you want to save and you can top up as you go! So any spare change you have put it in as it all helps! This is a brilliant app so I would recommend to all!
