You can open a Tembo cash lifetime ISA or a stocks and shares lifetime ISA by downloading the app and depositing a minimum of £1.

Tembo doesn’t charge monthly subscription fees for the lifetime ISAs, but there is an annual platform fee for the stocks and shares lifetime ISA.

Overall Great Experience

The interest rate is applied monthly, not daily like Moneybox does. Their broker service is very good. The app is very clearly laid out and easy to use. I transferred my LISA from Moneybox to Tembo and it wasn't clear what or how much interest was applied during the transfer. It would be good if this process was more transparent. Tembo is great for building your money in savings!

Tembo is great for building your money in savings! I had never heard of a LISA before and did some research. Tembo offers a great interest rate and is super easy to use. They are also great at communication keeping you updated with what's going on with your account and also updates on other accounts that might interest me. They have very detailed descriptors explains everything you need to know in words you understand. I highly recommend banking with them. Reviewed on: 11th March 2026

Finance Made Simple with Tembo

I’ve been using the Tembo financial app for about a year now, and it’s been a really positive experience. Tembo has helped me better understand different ISAs and investment options, while also helping me stay on top of the dynamic changes in the financial world. For example, whenever the UK Chancellor announces a new budget, Tembo sends prompt updates explaining how those changes might affect my rates or investments. It makes things much easier to understand. Tembo’s communication is clear and easy to follow, which is great for someone like me who is still learning how policy changes can impact investments. No sneaky business

I used tembo when I wanted to move my S&S LISA to a less short term risk cash ISA as I am planning on buying a home with my girlfriend in the next few years. Tembo provided me the best rate without a sneaky introductory offer that is designed to trap people in accounts that they don't realise will give worse rates overall. Rambo therefore feels it is designed for the customer and not for extracting as much profit from users as possible. Reviewed on: 11th March 2026

I had Matt Thomas & Lorraine from the Tembo team supporting me through out the mortgage process. They were extremely communicative and helpful through out, gave me lots of information and reassurance, I could not recommend this service more. Lorraine was also very accommodating when I needed to release my LISA funds earlier than anticipated.
