You can open a Tembo cash lifetime ISA or a stocks and shares lifetime ISA by downloading the app and depositing a minimum of £1.

Tembo doesn’t charge monthly subscription fees for the lifetime ISAs, but there is an annual platform fee for the stocks and shares lifetime ISA.

We’ve had our Lifetime ISA with Tembo for a while an...

We’ve had our Lifetime ISA with Tembo for a while and recently also used them as our mortgage broker and the whole experience has been brilliant from start to finish. Opening and managing our Lifetime ISA was really straightforward. Everything felt clear, easy to understand and well organised. It gave us confidence that we were building towards our first home in the right way, especially knowing the government bonus was being handled properly and transparently. When it came time to apply for our mortgage, choosing Tembo as our broker felt like the natural next step and we’re so glad we did. We worked with Eddie and Tia, who were both absolutely fantastic. As first-time buyers, we had a lot of questions and they explained everything in a way that was calm, clear and reassuring. Nothing ever felt rushed or confusing. They were proactive, responsive and genuinely supportive throughout. They kept us updated at every stage, chased things when needed and made what could have been a stressful process feel manageable and structured. Having both our Lifetime ISA and mortgage handled through Tembo made the whole journey feel seamless. We felt looked after rather than just processed, and that made a huge difference. I swapped my LISA from MoneyBox to Tembo during a Black Friday promotion, and earned £200 I think it was. I’m not overly organised so I think I had missed the deadline by a day as there was some sort of delay on my side, however, after speaking to Customer Service Tembo said they would still honour the promotion! A great start. Since then the service has been clear & efficient and the customer service is excellent; attentive , useful and informative. Would completely recommend. Reviewed on: 3rd February 2026

Intuitive and useful

I find Tembo very intuitive to use, unlike many banking services. They communicate in a way that's actually understandable, and any general emails they send actually contain information to help me understand how mortgages etc work - this is in stark contrast to for example Barclays, who mostly try to sell me on loans I don't need etc. Reviewed on: 3rd February 2026
