We had a great experience with our broker Tembo. Saul and Jodie were fantastic to work with and made the whole process much less daunting. As first-time buyers, we had a lot of questions, and they took the time to answer every one clearly and patiently. Excellent from start to finish

Bethany and Callum were of great help from start to finish. They were always quick to respond to any questions that me and my partner would ask and were always very polite and helpful in their responses. My honest review

I wanted to give an honest review of the service I received from Tembo. I had the pleasure of working with both Glen and Callum, who were both very pleasant and professional to deal with. However, there were some issues at the start of the process. As I was purchasing a shared ownership property, the initial lender considered did not accept a share below 25%, which was not identified early on. This led to delays, and when we subsequently moved to a different lender, the process felt rushed. As a result, I ended up with a significantly higher interest rate than my original offer. I also spent a considerable amount of time chasing updates from the first lender, only to discover after contacting them directly that they had declined my application days earlier. This had not been communicated to me by Tembo, which caused unnecessary concern and anxiety. When exploring the second lender, I wanted to consider whether there might be better options available. I was advised that this would take some time, as my case had already required additional attention and other work had been neglected. While I completely understood the reasoning, this was still disappointing, particularly as the situation could likely have been avoided with more thorough initial checks. Ultimately, I decided to proceed with the higher-rate lender because the developer had set a completion deadline, and I did not want to risk further delays. At this stage, my case was passed to Callum, who was extremely helpful and responsive. The only minor issue was that I was initially sent the wrong lender declaration to sign, which caused a small delay. Overall, both Glen and Callum were great to work with. They were always quick to respond to emails and returned calls promptly. Most importantly, I did receive my mortgage offer in the end, for which I am very pleased. Reviewed on: 20th January 2026

Have really enjoyed working with Tembo! As first time buyers, we were quite nervous about the whole experience, but with Tembo everything went smoother than we could have imagined. They were extremely responsive, attentive, clear and made things so simple for us. It was amazing - they have saved us thousands

It was amazing - we moved from a decision in principle to mortgage offer in a matter of days. Callum and Glen were superb at putting everything together to get us a great deal and we cannot fault the service. They also didn’t stop once the mortgage offer was through. Since then, they have been back to the mortgage provider and secured even better rates as the bank rates have come down. They have saved us thousands of pounds. Highly recommend. Wow, wow, wow! TEMBO ARE THE BEST

Wow, wow, wow!! What an amazing bunch of people. Luke has been absolutely fantastic, any questions (there were ALOT) were answered without judgment and he was always so helpful. Throughout the whole journey he has kept us updated and made sure that everything has run as smooth as possible. I honestly can’t thank him enough for everything he has done for us. The start of our forever is thanks to Luke and Elly. Elly made sure to reach out to us immediately when it was required and was so warm and friendly. What a great experience. Highly Recommended

As a Tembo ISA holder, decided to ask them about mortgages as advice was free. Initially decided the equity release would be the way to go, as we are both retired, so Matt referred us to Saga. However, after discussing options with them, we decided that interest free would be best, so back to Matt. He could not have been more helpful and his response times to emails was phenomenal. He found us a great deal and Elly took over when Matt went on paternity leave at Christmas. Elly was equally as good at answering our queries and keeping us informed with the application process and we now have a mortgage offer that suits our needs.
