Frustrating service

It would be great if someone picked up the phone during the hours that the Building Society are meant to be open! I just want to change my address and phone number and I cannot do this online. Reply from Family Building Society Hi Grace, Thank you for your message and I’m sorry that you have had trouble contacting us. As a result of these unprecedented times, we have made some temporary changes to our opening hours. From Tuesday 26 May our Head Office will be open from 9.00am to 2.00pm from Monday to Friday and we will be closed on Saturdays. Our phone lines are particularly busy at the moment, so we may take longer than normal to answer calls. However, there is an option for you to leave a call-back request, which will retain your place in the queue so that you don’t have to wait on the line. Alternatively, you can email us at [email protected] with a contact number for us to call you, or you can send us a secure message if you are registered for our Online Service. A Change of Address form is also available to download from our website – familybuildingsociety.co.uk. Just go to the FAQ tab at the top of the home page. Good range of products, good service

Family Building Society are one of a very few financial organisations offering a good choice of savings products with some of the best interest rates to be had. The service is very good - I was kept informed of the progress of an ISA transfer. Reviewed on: 27th May 2020

Friendly attitude.

Very friendly Family members

I have been saving with Family Building Society for a few years and each time I have a need to contact them the responses are friendly, informative and swift. When I recently reinvested my maturing ISA and asked for confirmation of the opening of the new account I received a phone call where I was treated as an individual, with a chat about the callers friend with a similar address to mine. This was just the sort of informality I wanted rather than to be seen as just another customer. I live alone and during the Covid 19 lockdown it was lovely to get a friendly voice on the phone.
