The app is really easy to use, the online platform is also very intuitive and for the few occasions I have had technical questions the team have come back to me and answered very quickly. Reviewed on: 7th April 2023

Account paused

Account paused with no information as to why or how long it will take and until it's complete I have no access to any of my money. Customer service doesn't exist and have ignored me for days and will ignore any question you may ask. AVOID AT ALL COST!! WORST "BANK" AVAILABLE. Reviewed on: 24th February 2022

Blocked my account

Blocked my account and didn’t tell me, I only realised when going to pay for hotel. Very embarrassing and frustrating. It’s an easy account to open but a nightmare to get unblocked. Mine has been 11 days so far. Reviewed on: 23rd February 2022

PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!

Anyone considering opening an account with TIDE please don’t. My account was frozen for 11 days then shut down for no reason. They misled me to believe they were a bank by the language they used on their website. I have had to pay my solicitor to try reclaim the money that is in my account as they have not given a time frame to release my funds. No one from compliance contacted me from the start. They emailed me to say I was unable to contact them by phone unless I paid money to upgrade my account which I was unable to do as my account was frozen. I missed my NEST payment, CC payment no money in no money out. I have now set up a bank account with a real business bank account and honestly don’t have any faith in getting my money back. I didn’t read the reviews and it has paid off negatively for me, I hope a potential new customer gets to read this first does not open an account with this APP. If you do have an account with them move your money immediately because this could happen to you. On crunch base TIDE describes itself as “Tide is a business banking platform with a mission to save small businesses time and money on their banking and admin.” When it is not a business banking platform this is a lie. They have raised 195 million and are attracting 1000 businesses in every few weeks on this promise. One others person I have spoken to who has experienced the same thing has had their money held by TIDE for over 3 months. worst banking experience
