Ethical bank with good interest rates

I joined Triodos because I was looking for an ethical bank to safely store money that had come in from a company bonus. I chose Triodos for the interest rates, as well as the peace of mind that my money wasn't used for anything that I do not agree with. Reviewed on: 15th April 2025

We love Tridos.

Ethical stand and excellent service.

Ethical investments

Advice always available by phone. Truely ethical through ahd through - their buildings, energy consumption and their investments are driven by enviromental and ethical standards. I keep up to date with their monthly emails which contain information about their investments. They continue to improve their range of services to customers so they more nearly match larger bank's provision e.g. the current account offered and online banking. I know I bank with other customers who take environmental concerns seriously and we all know our money is ethically invested protecting the natural environment and actively supporting firms starting up or expanding their businesses ethically. With new money being invested in fossil fuel development through the big high street banks and oil and gas companies reducing their investment in renewable sources of energy it is important to me that my money supports environmentally friendly firms. Simple and straightforward savings.

I am able to make regular payments to a savings account but can withdraw the money with no fuss when I need it. Everything very simple and easy. Occasional e-mail newsletter very informative but I am not inundated with advertising or unwanted advice. Reviewed on: 11th April 2025

Information about the account was clearly laid out on the website, and when I needed to contact customer services by phone they were helpful and efficient.
