About this product

The TSB Cash account is a basic bank account.

It’s available if you don’t have a UK bank account and don’t qualify for other TSB current accounts. There’s no charge for opening or maintaining the account. Cash account holders can use the TSB mobile banking app, but you won’t be able to get an overdraft.

. Blocked card three times in one week! Insane

Do not open an account with this bank. My card has been blocked three times this week!!! After making the payments, confirming my magic number, approving the payment in my online app and face biometrics and still…. TSB blocks the payments!!! That’s three hours of my like spent on stupid call centres speaking to totally empathetic robots to remove the block only to be blocked again Reviewed on: 28th June 2026

Mobile cheque deposit - every bank should offer this

Still fairly new to TSB but impressed so far. The mobile cheque deposit feature is brilliant -I'm baffled that some banks still haven't implemented it. Payments and authorisations are quick. Went into branch once to pay in cash and the staff were genuinely friendly and efficient. Reviewed on: 25th June 2026

Hard going

I signed up recently using the mobile app, it seemed all plan sailing until right at the end when the app was in constant 'loading' for many minutes. I had no clue whether i signed up. I received an email suggesting i had signed up however when i went back on the app, it allowed me to type in the credentials i requested but it would not allow me to select my mobile number for verification. I called the customer service, seem based in India, and they did not understand me (great..) Reviewed on: 23rd January 2026
