The benefit of being a member of the Vernon is that I can get to a branch easily and there is one of their branches open every. I can talk to the staff about my savings etc and they can give me an immediate answer. They do have online access I believe but I have found it better to talk to an actual person rather than sending an email and waiting for a reply ,which might then lead to another question. The staff are always ready to help and sort out any transactions needed on the day. I am also proud to be a member of Vernon as they care and support local charities and local commmunities. Easy to contact very helpful staff

The Vernon is a truly local building society with great staff. They still have a branch in Marple where you can speak face to face, a luxury rarely provided by banks these days! Reviewed on: 25th March 2024

Jargon free, clear and open

Opening a savings account for my Grandson,...

I recently opened a savings account for my Grandson, which was quick and easy. The Vernon Building Society is one of the very few to allow a grand parent to do so, also they still provide a passbook so he can deposit cash at a branch old style. Reviewed on: 25th March 2024
