Championing The Vernon Building Society!

Great service! Great return on the one year regular saver [6.50% 2024/25] which I have rolled over into a second year! Feeling of belonging in a local society which is well presented as such. If anything one has to be a little nimble getting back to the desk-top with the six-digit verification code to input it on the first hearing. The panic is rectified by it being repeated three times. There is a good range products

The Vernon offers a good range of products to suit every type of safer. I have a number of accounts that allow me to save regularly with a good rate of interest. Having a local branch makes it easier to keep track of your accounts face to face. Reviewed on: 13th January 2026

The helpful local building society

Vernon is one of the very few building societies/banks that has local branches. More importantly it has a range of savings products including some with a high interest rate, particularly if you don't want to make withdrawals for a fixed period such as 1 or 2 years. Ideal if you are saving for a new home. Having a local branch is important as the staff are able to give advice about saving products and what may be best for you in your circumstances.
