There is a good range products

The Vernon offers a good range of products to suit every type of safer. I have a number of accounts that allow me to save regularly with a good rate of interest. Having a local branch makes it easier to keep track of your accounts face to face. Reviewed on: 13th January 2026

The helpful local building society

Vernon is one of the very few building societies/banks that has local branches. More importantly it has a range of savings products including some with a high interest rate, particularly if you don't want to make withdrawals for a fixed period such as 1 or 2 years. Ideal if you are saving for a new home. Having a local branch is important as the staff are able to give advice about saving products and what may be best for you in your circumstances. service first eam banks have deserted the customers...

As the mainstream banks have deserted the customers by closing the high street branches it is refreshing to have a Building society locally focus on customer care and excellent investment options. Vernon staff are very professional yet friendly to deal with. Big banks beware not everyone spend their lives online. Service first profit will follow! Reviewed on: 13th January 2026
