The Freedom account has no monthly fees and the Activeplus account is £5.95 per month. There may be fees for sending money and withdrawing or paying in cash. Both accounts come with the option to add on an overdraft.

Great bank

Basic Banking with an edge.

Working on hospital bank shifts, paid weekly I was looking for a bank that could match other banks and offer an overdraft. At the time my capacity to earn was good however, due to the nature of bank work income was variable. At the time the bank was Cashplus, and met with my needs offering a more limited service, e.g. instant bank transfers. Helped improve my credit rating but was not a bank. Since then having taken over Cashplus, Zempler have provided a more varied and useful service. Reviewed on: 22nd January 2026

ZEMPLER’s Customer service is 9 out of 10is

It is usually a good experience for me. I am not great at tech skills but ZEMPLER customer service is usually helpful, polite, and patient. Other customer service departments are sometimes inconsiderate of senior customers unlike Zempler’s. Reviewed on: 22nd January 2026
