The Freedom account has no monthly fees and the Activeplus account is £5.95 per month. There may be fees for sending money and withdrawing or paying in cash. Both accounts come with the option to add on an overdraft.

I've always had a positive experience with Zemplar and I've been with them for a number of years now. One example is when they stopped a fraud taking place in Inverness, if my mind serves me correctly. They called me up and told me what was going on. So there's my opinion. Banking made simple

Excellent banking with professional and friendly staff. I changed to this bank as my partner had an account and promoted the simple, easy way to manage my money. I have not looked back and recommend to family and friends. The app is easy to navigate and if I do need to call I have found the staff overall give a great and helpful service. Very happy customer

Been with zempler a long time..

Been with zempler a long time since they were cash plus and been great the small overdraft feature has helped lately , had issues with fraud and rang them and sorted it in no time at all , handy that I could lock my card the moment I knew of suspicious activity , just a current account but fantastic so far Reviewed on: 22nd January 2026
