APPALLING

Had a breakdown, advisor claimed similar symptom to a previous call out. After lengthy conversation expected me to pay £270 to attend. Cancelled call, will never use again and would definitely never recommend. Reviewed on: 6th January 2025

Avoid sign up!!

I broke down with my family at 10:00 p.m. and repeatedly tried to call, but no one answered. The phone rang for over two hours, and I was left with no choice but to call for emergency assistance. This is not the first time this has happened; it is the second time. Reviewed on: 7th January 2026

Been with them for 2 years and never had use them until Sunday 20th July 2025 too which I had personal and national cover. When I broke down I contacted them explained car couldn't be moved due to a snapped coil spring they told me national cover only covers recovery to a local garage were you broke down but told them my certificate of recovery policy says I can be taken to a destination of my choice, they then refused to take me , wife, 2 small grandchildren and a dog home and left us stranded with no way of getting home. This company I believe is a legal scamming company take your money then refuse you the help you've paid for. So please please stay well clear of this cowboy company you have been WARNED STAY CLEAR. I got my own car going and was charged £125

My car wouldn't start, i could only presume the battery had died. A friend had a jump pack an tried jump starting the car but no joy. So i called cover my breakdown who I'm covered with. when I gave all my details they said a wait time of 2 hours. I then got a message to say it will be close to 3 hours. I couldn't afford to wait 3 hours so I asked a guy if he knew how to get it going he had jump leads and was able to jump starting the car an get it going. I informed cover my breakdown an told them I will no longer need there services as I've got the car going an they told me that will be a £125 cancellation fee. There service was poor and I'd highly recommend not going with this company it's a scam Reviewed on: 10th March 2025

Awful service.

Awful service. Total con. I had a flat battery and managed to jump start the car the previous day, but couldn't get it into the garage to get it replaced. Couldn't get it started following morning likely because it was cold. Needed them to send out a technician with a battery pack (paying £30 excess) only to be told that as i drove the car with a known fault they'd charge £120+VAT to send out the technician. Obviously like so many insurance companies, just taking the mick and trying to claw back money at any opportunity. Avoid like the plague. Reviewed on: 19th February 2025

Avoid, Avoid, Avoid. Cannot and would not ever recommend this scam company to anyone. They refused my request for service because i briefly left the vehicle to use a toilet as I have a health condition. As a lone female stranded miles from home, they abandoned me and then demanded I pay £125 to them according to their cancellation script. Disgusted by the way they treat genuine customers. Awful service! Demanded£120 to come out

I was told by a rude advisor I would have to pay £120 for call-out to start my van even though I was covered for any number of call-outs. Apparently as my van had previously had a problem starting I wasn’t covered!!! The most ridiculous I have heard! How could anyone tell if it was the same problem without seeing it and even so I ought to be covered. The advisor said as I hadn’t subsequently taken my car to the garage they wouldn’t help. But despite his insistence I WAS NOT told to do this. Absolutely awful- left me a woman pensioner on her own completely stranded. Reviewed on: 4th November 2024

COVER MY BREAKDOWN. Don’t bother

When you need a breakdown service you’re most probably at a low point, miles from home and wanting help, cover my breakdown are not the company for you, they hide behind small print and won’t get you home, national service isn’t what it it sounds like, they only take you within 25 miles of a named garage or address. You Get What You Pay For... Rip Off Merchants!

Absolute joke! Should know the price was too good to be true - company is fine if you don't ever need assistance but when you need help, you're screwed! Tyre burst due to potholes so called for assistance. New car so only has temp repair kit - advised 'they don't do that'. Was advised they could send a tow truck or that I could arrange mobile tyre service and would be reimbursed up to £50. Opted for second option as easiest. £150. Have just been refunded £10!
